Katie has engaged in almost every facet of real estate for over 20 years. She began her career in mortgage financing in the late 1990s. She understands the complexity of mortgage lending and stays attuned to the ever changing lending guidelines.

A few years into her mortgage financing career she accepted the opportunity to build a real estate sales career in a new construction firm/ real estate brokerage.  During the fruitful real estate boom of the 2000s Katie sold nearly 60 million in new construction homes.  She became hands on in the design specification process. She has in depth knowledge on new construction pricing and a strong handle on Minnesota building code.  Katie also enjoyed networking with landowners and developers securing additional land for her builder to develop new construction neighborhoods in the second ring suburbs of the Minneapolis and St. Paul metro area.  

However, the fruits of the market were no longer to be found during the recession of the years in the 2010s.  Katie diversified her real estate career again and began negotiating with banks on behalf of developers, builders and residential home owners. Katie found this process to be challenging but due to her experience in financing the task was not complicated.  It was rewarding negotiating acceptable terms for her clients and guided them through the sales of their real estate properties.

For nearly 20 years Katie has sold new construction and existing homes throughout the Minneapolis and St. Paul metro area.  She understands the process of buying or selling a home is very exciting and can be bittersweet.  Her favorite part of the process is her clients have complete trust in her ability to understand this is one of their largest purchases in their lifetime. Katie is able to guide her clients through the process because of her knowledge in financing, construction costs and her strong baseline in understanding home values and market conditions.  Katie is excited to be a part of Lakes|Sotheby's International Realty and continuing her real estate journey on the Parrish & Company team.
